What defines home for you?๐Ÿ

News:- Government of Himachal Pradesh has opened the borders and allowed people and tourists to visit without any requirement of e-pass or Covid-19 certificate.

Wow right?

But that doesn't mean the pandemic is over.

For someone like me who closely follow the news of this region, I somehow didn't agree with the decision, and without thinking much wrote my opinions in the comment section of the post and ask them not to destroy the place for satisfying their wanderlust, for the time being.

And many responded back 'who are you to tell us' , 'you are not even from himachal' and told me I shouldn't voice out my opinions about Himachal because I don't live there.

These words keep on bothering me whole night and the next day I chose to release it on my paper!

It doesn't matter, that it's a part of the country I breathe in, I cannot call it home.

It doesn't matter whether I have been dreaming to live there since I was fourteen. I cannot call it home.

Doesn't matter if my current career choices are based on, whether i'll be able to live in Mcleodganj, in Dharamshala, I cannot call it home.

My dad and grandparents are from Uttar pradesh, but never visited in last 30 years, wondering if that is my real home?

I live in the most peaceful and beautiful city, a shade of cornflower blue covering most of its part, gifting it with the title of Blue City of India, JODHPUR.

I opened my eyes here, But neither my parents nor my extended family were born here, so is it not my home?

Or is it jaisalamer, the golden city of India because my Nani gave birth to my mom there, but even my mom hasn't seen that place since she was 5 years old. So how can that be a home?

My early summer vacations were spent planning several trips to gujrat for mom's official tour, people over there made us feel like home, but again logically it is not my home.

A mess no?

For me home isn't a place anymore, for I rather will live in the hearts of people I love, than on lands that only divide.

And that's the only home I have now.

Where am I from, you ask?

From my heart, to yours๐Ÿ’™
